personal work. 2013. these silos have been here a long time. sadly, they are no longer in use. located adjacent to buffalo bayou, where long ago, small ships could power upstream to load or unload cargo. at the waters edge, tucked away in the underbrush, you can still find mooring tie offs for these vessels. it’s pretty groovy to think how that may have looked in the past. development is happening at a rapid pace and it won’t be long before they think these little pieces of history are in the way. not an eyesore for me, rather an eye opening.
