marfa, texas. 2010. to get to marfa, you gotta want to go to marfa. it’s not really on the way to much of anywhere, unless, of course, you’re taking the backroads to el paso or big bend, then you might pass through. it’s a hip little desert town, with some fantastic art and architecture, a phenomenal radio station and the coolest bookstore west of the pecos. that said, there’s also a pretty hip music scene that seems to continue to grow. if you find yourself in an exploratory mode while driving west, then take the time, and slow down. the journey is half the fun!
